दुर्योधन–द्रोणसंवादः

Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation

'राधानन्दन! जबतक तुम अर्जुनको नहीं देखते हो, तभीतक गर्जना कर लो। कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनको समीप देख लेनेपर फिर यह गर्जना तुम्हारे लिये दुर्लभ हो जायगी ।। त्वमनासाद्य तान्‌ बाणान्‌ फाल्गुनस्य विगर्जसि । पार्थसायकविद्धस्य दुर्लभं गर्जितं तव,“जबतक अर्जुनके वे बाण तुम्हारे पड़ रहे हैं, तभीतक तुम जोर-जोरसे गरज रहे हो। अर्जुनके बाणोंसे घायल होनेपर तुम्हारे लिये यह गर्जन-तर्जन दुर्लभ हो जायगा

sañjaya uvāca | tvam anāsādya tān bāṇān phālgunasya vigarjasi | pārthasāyakaviddhasya durlabhaṃ garjitaṃ tava ||

Sañjaya sagte: „O Sohn der Rādhā, du brüllst nur, weil dich die Pfeile des Phalguna (Arjuna) noch nicht erreicht haben. Wenn dich Pārthas Geschosse treffen, wird dir solches Brüllen schwerlich noch möglich sein.“
