दृष्टवा तमेक॑ समरे विचरन्तमभीतवत् | सहिता: सर्वराजान: परिवद्रु: समन््तत:,उसे अकेले ही समरभूमिमें निर्भय विचरते देख सब राजाओंने एक साथ आकर सब ओरसे घेर लिया
dṛṣṭvā tam ekaṃ samare vicarantam abhītavat | sahitāḥ sarvarājānaḥ parivavruḥ samantataḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: Als sie sahen, wie er allein mit furchtloser Gelassenheit über das Schlachtfeld zog, schlossen sich alle Könige zusammen und umringten ihn von allen Seiten—eine kollektive Macht, die einen einzelnen Krieger aufhalten sollte, dessen Mut das Gleichgewicht des Kampfes zu kippen drohte.
