प्रपतेद् द्यौ: सनक्षत्रा पृथिवी शकलीभवेत्
prapated dyauḥ sanakṣatrā pṛthivī śakalībhavet, āptair āśu parijñātaṃ bhāradvāja-cikīrṣitam |
Sañjaya sprach: O König, der Himmel könnte samt seinen Sternen herabstürzen und die Erde in Stücke bersten; dennoch wurde der Plan, den der Sohn Bharadvājas (Droṇa) auszuführen gedachte, durch vertrauenswürdige Kundschafter schnell und genau erkannt. Als Droṇa schwor, Yudhiṣṭhira zu ergreifen—bewusst einen Spielraum wahrend—stießen deine Truppen Löwenrufe aus und schlugen jubelnd auf ihre Arme; doch Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira erfuhr, in kluger Wachsamkeit, sogleich und vollständig, was Droṇa zu erreichen beabsichtigte.
