Śaineya’s Breakthrough and Reunion with Arjuna (शैनेयस्य समागमः)

नागेष्वश्वेषु बहुशो रथेषु च परीक्षितम्‌ परीक्ष्य च यथान्यायं वेतनेनोपपादितम्‌

nāgeṣv aśveṣu bahuśo ratheṣu ca parīkṣitam | parīkṣya ca yathānyāyaṃ vetanenopapāditam ||

Sañjaya sprach: „Viele Male sind die Männer in der Kunst des Kampfes vom Elefanten, vom Pferd und vom Streitwagen aus geprüft worden; und nachdem man sie geprüft hatte, wurden sie ihrem Verdienst gemäß, nach Recht und Billigkeit, mit Sold versehen.“
