Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention
प्रिये हि तव वर्तेते भ्रातरौ कृष्णपाण्डवौ । तयो: प्रिये स्थितं चैव विद्धि मां राजपुड़व,“नृपश्रेष्ठ! दोनों भाई श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन आपके प्रिय साधनमें लगे हुए हैं और उन दोनोंके प्रिय कार्यमें आप मुझे तत्पर जानिये
priye hi tava vartete bhrātarau kṛṣṇa-pāṇḍavau | tayoḥ priye sthitaṃ caiva viddhi māṃ rāja-puṅgava ||
Sañjaya sprach: „O Stier unter den Königen! Die beiden Brüder — Kṛṣṇa und der Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) — sind mit dem befasst, was dir lieb ist. Wisse auch, dass ich fest dem hingegeben bin, was ihnen lieb ist.“
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast loyalty and alignment of purpose: those who are truly devoted act for what is dear and beneficial to their allies, and a messenger/counsellor should be reliable in serving the trusted aims of the righteous leaders.
Sañjaya addresses the king, stating that Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna are actively engaged in the king’s cherished objective, and he adds that he himself is committed to what is dear to those two—signaling dependable support and shared intent amid the war reports.
