विनाशमुपयास्यन्ति मच्छरौघनिपीडिता: । 'दूसरोंके बलपर जीनेवाले दुर्योधनने इन सब लोगोंका सदा आदसरपूर्वक भरण-पोषण किया है; परंतु ये मेरे बाणसमूहोंसे पीड़ित होकर आज विनष्ट हो जायँगे

vināśam upayāsyanti maccharaugha-nipīḍitāḥ | dūṣaroke balapara jīnevāle duryodhanane in sab logoṅkā sadā ādara-sapūrvaka bharaṇa-poṣaṇa kiyā hai; parantu ye mere bāṇa-samūhoṅse pīḍita hokara āja vinaṣṭa ho jāyaṅge |

Sañjaya sprach: „Vom Druck meiner Pfeilsalven zermalmt, werden sie dem Untergang entgegengehen. Duryodhana—der von der Kraft anderer lebt—hat all diese Männer lange Zeit mit äußerer Ehrerbietung und Unterstützung erhalten; doch heute, von meinen Geschossen gepeinigt, werden sie vernichtet werden.“
