As a colophon-style closing, the verse highlights the epic’s framing of war as increasingly saṅkula—confused and morally heavy—where duty, vows, and consequences converge; it reminds the reader that the narrative is organized to track ethical pressure points within the unfolding conflict.
This is the formal end-of-chapter statement: it announces that the 107th chapter dealing with the tumultuous mêlée (saṅkula-yuddha) within the Jayadratha-slaying section of the Droṇa Parva has been completed.
