यथा स्कन्दस्य राजेन्द्र मयूरेण विराजता । राजेन्द्र! जैसे स्वामी स्कन्दका रथ सुन्दर मयूर-चिह्लसे शोभित होता है, उसी प्रकार महामना वृषसेनका रथ उस मयूरचिह्लसे शोभा पा रहा था

Transliteration

yathā skandasya rājendra mayūreṇa virājatā |

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: „O König, wie der Wagen des Herrn Skanda im Glanz steht, geschmückt mit dem Pfauenemblem, so erstrahlt auch der Wagen des hochgesinnten Vṛṣasena, geziert von eben diesem Pfauenzeichen.“
