भीष्मस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति उपालम्भः

Bhīṣma’s Reproof to Duryodhana

राक्षसानां च राजेन्द्र दुर्योधनबलस्य च । राजेन्द्र! फिर तो दुर्योधनकी सेना तथा राक्षसोंमें भयंकर एवं रोमांचकारी युद्ध होने लगा

rākṣasānāṃ ca rājendra duryodhana-balasya ca |

Sañjaya sprach: „O König, da entbrannte eine wilde, schauererregende Schlacht zwischen den Rākṣasas und dem Heer Duryodhanas.“ Die Zeile macht deutlich, wie im Chaos des Krieges selbst verbündete Kräfte in blutige Gewalt getrieben werden können und so die moralische Zerrüttung sichtbar wird, die ehrgeizigem Streben unter der Führung des adharma folgt.
