Bhagadattā’s Deployment Against Ghaṭotkaca; Elephant-Corps Escalation
यदुक्तवान् महाप्राज्ञ: क्षत्ता हितमनामयम् | तदिदं समनुप्राप्तं वचन दिव्यदर्शिन:
yaduktavān mahāprājñaḥ kṣattā hitam anāmayam | tad idaṃ samanuprāptaṃ vacanaṃ divyadarśinaḥ prajānātha |
Sañjaya sprach: „Der hochweise Vidura, der Kämmerer, hat einst Worte gesprochen, die zu unserem Wohl und ohne Schaden waren. O Herr des Volkes, nun ist eben dieses Wort des Sehers eingetroffen.“
संजय उवाच
Wholesome counsel given for one’s welfare—especially by the wise—should not be ignored; when adharma is chosen, the warning returns as lived consequence, often too late to prevent suffering.
Sanjaya reports to King Dhritarashtra that, after witnessing the destruction of their kin, the Kuru side recalls Vidura’s earlier warnings and realizes that his farsighted words about the outcome have now been fulfilled.
