Excellence in one’s rightful duty (especially kṣatriya-dharma in battle) becomes worthy of honor even from unlikely quarters; the verse frames Arjuna’s prowess as publicly accountable and cosmically witnessed, implying that valor aligned with duty earns legitimate praise.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that many classes of beings—divine, semi-divine, and fearsome—observe Arjuna’s extraordinary speed and skill in the battle and respond by applauding him with cries of “sādhu, sādhu,” thereby celebrating his performance on the battlefield.
