भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)

एवमुक्ते तु भीष्मेण पुत्रास्तव जनेश्वर । दध्मु: शड्खान्‌ मुदा युक्ता भेरी: संजध्निरे भूशम्‌,जनेश्वर! भीष्मके ऐसा कहनेपर आपके पुत्र आनन्दमग्न होकर जोर-जोरसे शंख बजाने और डंका पीटने लगे

sañjaya uvāca | evam ukte tu bhīṣmeṇa putrās tava janeśvara | dadhmuḥ śaṅkhān mudā yuktā bherīḥ sañjaghnire bhūśam ||

Sañjaya sprach: Als Bhīṣma so gesprochen hatte, o Herr der Menschen, bliesen deine Söhne voller Freude die Muschelhörner und schlugen die Kriegstrommeln laut.
