The verse highlights disciplined order and readiness in a dharmic conflict: warriors are presented by lineage and alliance, reminding the listener that in war, duty (kṣatriya-dharma) is carried by families and communities, not isolated individuals.
Sañjaya continues enumerating the Pāṇḍava-side warriors as they take their positions: first Sātyaki, then Draupadī’s five sons, followed by the hero Abhimanyu, and then Irāvān.
