न च तस्मान्मनुष्येषु कश्निन्मे प्रियकृत्तम: । भविता न च मे तस्मादन्य: प्रियतरो भुवि
na ca tasmān manuṣyeṣu kaścin me priyakṛttamaḥ | bhavitā na ca me tasmād anyaḥ priyataro bhuvi ||
Unter den Menschen gibt es keinen, der Mir etwas Lieberes getan hätte als er; und auf dieser Erde wird es auch künftig keinen anderen geben, der Mir lieber wäre als er.
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of gratitude and loyalty: recognizing and honoring the person who has rendered the most cherished help, and affirming steadfast affection grounded in remembered beneficence.
Arjuna, speaking in the Bhīṣma Parva context, declares that no human has done a deed more dear to him than the person he refers to, and that no one in the future will surpass that person in Arjuna’s affection—an emphatic statement of personal devotion and indebtedness.
