Shloka 35

निर्मन्युर्गतसंरम्भ: कृतकर्मा रणे सम ह । यथाशक्ति यथोत्साहं सतां वृत्तेषु वृत्तवान्‌,दीनता और क्रोध छोड़कर अपनी शक्ति और उत्साहके अनुसार सत्पुरुषोंके आचारमें स्थित रहकर युद्ध करो। तुम रणक्षेत्रमें पराक्रम कर चुके हो और आचारवान्‌ तो हो ही

nirmanyur gatasarambhaḥ kṛtakarmā raṇe samaḥ | yathāśakti yathotsāhaṃ satāṃ vṛtteṣu vṛttavān ||

Bhīṣma sprach: „Frei von Groll und mit besänftigtem Ungestüm deines Zorns, stehe fest in der Lebensweise der Rechtschaffenen und handle nach deiner Kraft und deinem Eifer. Du hast deine Tapferkeit im Kampf bereits bewiesen und bist ohnehin ein Mann der Zucht; darum kämpfe, ohne in Niedergeschlagenheit zu sinken oder vom Zorn getrieben zu werden.“
