शीतस्यामृतकल्पस्य दिव्यगन्धरसस्य च । अतर्पयत्‌ ततः पार्थ: शीतया जलधारया

Transliteration

śītasyāmṛtakalpasya divyagandharasasya ca | atarpayat tataḥ pārthaḥ śītayā jaladhārayā ||

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Dann erquickte und sättigte Pārtha ihn, indem er einen kühlen Wasserstrom über ihn goss—Wasser, dessen Kühle wie Nektar war und das von göttlichem Duft und Geschmack erfüllt zu sein schien. Die Szene hebt einen Moment menschlicher Fürsorge mitten in der Gewalt des Krieges hervor, in dem Mitgefühl und Pflicht auf dem Schlachtfeld nebeneinander bestehen.
