Shloka 496

न चक्ुस्ते रुजं तस्य रुक्मपुड्खा: शिलाशिता: । महारथी शिखण्डीने रणक्षेत्रमें जिनका प्रयोग किया था

na cakṣuste rujaṃ tasya rukmapuṅkhāḥ śilāśitāḥ |

Sañjaya sprach: Selbst die goldbefiederten Pfeile, auf dem Schleifstein geschärft, vermochten ihm weder Wunde noch Schmerz zuzufügen. So konnten Śikhaṇḍins Salven auf dem Schlachtfeld Bhīṣma nicht verletzen—ein Hinweis auf Bhīṣmas außergewöhnliche kriegerische Unverwundbarkeit und auf die schicksalhaften, von Dharma durchwobenen Bedingungen, unter denen allein er zu Fall gebracht werden konnte.
