यत् ते व्यवसितं तात तदस्माकमपि प्रियम् । तत् कुरुष्व महाराज युद्ध बुद्धि निवर्तय,“तात! तुमने जो निश्चय किया है, वह हमलोगोंको भी बहुत प्रिय है। महाराज! अब तुम वही करो। युद्धकी ओरसे अपनी चित्तवृत्ति हटा लो"
yat te vyavasitaṃ tāta tadasmākam api priyam | tat kuruṣva mahārāja yuddha-buddhiṃ nivartaya ||
„Lieber Sohn, der Entschluss, den du gefasst hast, ist auch uns lieb. O großer König, handle danach—wende deinen Geist vom Drang zum Krieg ab.“
