स कृत्वा सुमहत् कर्म तस्मिन् वै दशमे5हनि । सेनयोरन्तरे तिष्ठन् प्रगुहीतशरासन:,दसवें दिन यह महान् पराक्रम करके हाथमें धनुष लिये वे दोनों सेनाओंके बीचमें खड़े हो गये
sa kṛtvā sumahat karma tasmin vai daśame 'hani | senayor antare tiṣṭhan pragṛhītaśarāsanaḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: Nachdem er an jenem zehnten Tag eine überaus große Tat vollbracht hatte, stand er zwischen den beiden Heeren, den Bogen fest in der Hand—gerade in dem Raum, wo Pflicht, Mut und der Preis des Krieges einander gegenübertreten.
