Bhīṣma–Karṇa Saṃvāda on the Śaraśayyā (भीष्म–कर्ण संवादः शरशय्यायाम्)
आजजल्नुरर्जुनं संख्ये भीमसेनं च मारिष । माननीय प्रजानाथ! चित्रसेन आदि आपके पुत्रोंने भी युद्धस्थलमें तुरंत ही पाँच-पाँच तीखे बाणोंद्वारा अर्जुन और भीमसेनको घायल कर दिया
sañjaya uvāca | ājaghnur arjunaṃ saṅkhye bhīmasenaṃ ca māriṣa | mānanīya prajānātha citrasena-ādayaḥ putrās tava yuddhasthale tūrṇam eva pañca-pañca tīkṣṇa-bāṇair arjunaṃ bhīmasenaṃ ca vyathayan |
Sanjaya sprach: „O ehrwürdiger König, mitten im Getümmel trafen sie Arjuna und Bhimasena. Deine Söhne—Chitrasena und die anderen—verwundeten auf dem Schlachtfeld sowohl Arjuna als auch Bhima mit rascher Hand, jeden mit fünf scharfen Pfeilen, und drängten den Angriff ohne Unterlass.“
