Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha

इति पृष्टो द्विजैस्तै: स प्रहसन्‌ नकुलो<ब्रवीत्‌ । नैषा मृषा मया वाणी प्रोक्ता दर्पेण वा द्विजा:,उन ब्राह्मणोंके इस प्रकार पूछनेपर नेवलेने हँसकर कहा--“विप्रवृन्द! मैंने आपलोगोंसे मिथ्या अथवा घमंडमें आकर कोई बात नहीं कही है

iti pṛṣṭo dvijais taiḥ sa prahasan nakulo 'bravīt | naiṣā mṛṣā mayā vāṇī proktā darpeṇa vā dvijāḥ ||

Als ihn die Brāhmaṇas so befragten, erwiderte Nakula (der Mungo) lächelnd: „O Brāhmaṇas, die Worte, die ich sprach, waren nicht unwahr, noch wurden sie aus Hochmut geäußert.“
