अर्जुनदुःखहेतुप्रश्नः — Inquiry into the cause of Arjuna’s recurring hardship
Book 14, Chapter 89
श्वशुरात् प्रीतिदायं त॑ं प्राप्प सा प्रीतमानसा । चकार पुण्यकं तेन सुमहत् संघश: पृथा
śvaśurāt prītidāyaṃ taṃ prāpya sā prītamānasā | cakāra puṇyakaṃ tena sumahat saṅghaśaḥ pṛthā ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als Kuntī (Pṛthā) von ihrem Schwiegervater jene in Zuneigung gewährte Gabe empfing, war sie im Innersten erfreut. Mit diesem Reichtum ließ sie sehr große verdienstvolle Werke in gemeinschaftlichem Umfang vollbringen — Akte der Wohltätigkeit und religiöse Gaben zum Wohl vieler.
