अर्जुनदुःखहेतुप्रश्नः — Inquiry into the cause of Arjuna’s recurring hardship

एवमेतदिति प्राहुस्तदभूल्लोमहर्षणम्‌ । उनके ऐसा कहनेपर भीमसेन आदि भाइयों और द्रौपदीने एक स्वरसे कहा--'हाँ, महाराजका कहना ठीक है।” इस महान्‌ त्यागकी बात सुनकर सबके रोंगटे खड़े हो गये

evam etad iti prāhus tad abhūl lomaharṣaṇam |

„So ist es“, erwiderten sie, und der Augenblick ließ einem die Gänsehaut aufsteigen. Obwohl er so gesprochen hatte, antworteten Bhīmasena und die übrigen Brüder zusammen mit Draupadī mit einer Stimme: „Ja — was der König sagt, ist recht.“ Als man von dieser großen Entsagung hörte, sträubten sich allen die Haare, ergriffen von Ehrfurcht vor dem sittlichen Gewicht dieses Opfers.
