राजपूजाविधानम् / Royal Reception Protocols during Āśvamedha Preparations

अहीनो नाम राजेन्द्र क्रतुस्तेडयं च कल्पताम्‌ । बहुत्वात्‌ काज्चनाख्यस्य ख्यातो बहुसुवर्णक:,“राजेन्द्र! तुम्हारे इस यज्ञमें किसी बातकी कमी नहीं रहेगी। इसलिये यह किसी भी अंगसे हीन न होनेके कारण अहीन (सर्वांगपूर्ण) कहलायेगा। इसमें सुवर्ण नामक द्रव्यकी अधिकता होगी; इसलिये यह बहुसुवर्णक नामसे विख्यात होगा

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: ahīno nāma rājendra kratus te ’yaṃ ca kalpatām | bahutvāt kāñcanākhyasya khyāto bahusuvarṇakaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O König, möge dein Opfer ordnungsgemäß vollendet werden als ein ‘Ahīna’—ohne Mangel an irgendeinem Glied oder Erfordernis. Und wegen der Fülle an Gold (kāñcana), die darin verwendet wird, wird es unter dem Namen ‘Bahusuvarṇaka’ berühmt sein: das goldreiche Opfer.“
