Uttaṅka’s Petition for Madayantī’s Divine Earrings (Maṇikuṇḍala) — Agreement, Proof, and Vigilance

कि त्वद्य यदि ते श्रद्धा गमनं॑ प्रति भार्गव । अनुज्ञां प्रतिगृहा त्वं स्‍्वगृहान्‌ गच्छ मा चिरम्‌,भृगुनन्दन! यदि आज तुम्हारे मनमें यहाँसे जानेकी इच्छा हुई है तो मेरी आज्ञा स्वीकार करो और शीघ्र ही यहाँसे अपने घरको चले जाओ

kiṃ tv adya yadi te śraddhā gamanaṃ prati bhārgava | anu-jñāṃ pratigṛhya tvaṃ svagṛhān gaccha mā ciram, bhṛgunandana ||

Gautama sprach: „Wenn du jedoch heute wahrhaft den Entschluss gefasst hast aufzubrechen, o Bhārgava, Freude des Geschlechts der Bhṛgus, dann nimm meine Erlaubnis an und geh ohne Zögern in dein eigenes Haus zurück.“
