Adhyātma-Upadeśa

सहस्नेणापि दुर्मेधा न बुद्धिमधिगच्छति । चतुर्थेनाप्यथांशेन बुद्धिमान्‌ सुखमेधते

sahasreṇāpi durmedhā na buddhim adhigacchati | caturthenāpy athāṁśena buddhimān sukham edhate ||

Vāyu sprach: Selbst mit tausend Anstrengungen erlangt der Mensch von geringem Verstand keine wahre Unterscheidungskraft; der Verständige aber gewinnt schon mit einem Viertel dieser Mühe Einsicht und gedeiht dadurch im Wohlergehen. Der Vers betont, dass innere Tauglichkeit und geistige Klarheit mehr gelten als bloße Menge an Einsatz.
