Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth

समाश्चास्य तु राजानं धर्मात्मानं युधिष्ठिरम्‌ । नारदो5प्यगमद्‌ राजन्‌ परमर्षियथेप्सितम्‌

samāś cāsya tu rājānaṃ dharmātmānaṃ yudhiṣṭhiram | nārado 'py agamad rājan paramarṣir yathā-ipsitam ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Zu gegebener Zeit kam auch der höchste Weise Nārada zu König Yudhiṣṭhira — rechtschaffen gesinnt und standhaft im Dharma —, wie es ihm beliebte, o König. Der Besuch kündigt einen göttlich gefügten Augenblick im Geschehen an, in dem die ethische Last und Pflicht des Herrschers auf maßgeblichen geistlichen Rat treffen.
