Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds satya (truthfulness) expressed with humility and reverence: Kuntī prepares to reveal a hidden truth, acknowledging moral responsibility and the need for guidance from a higher authority.

In the Āśramavāsika context, Kuntī addresses Vyāsa with deep veneration and announces that she will disclose a long-concealed personal secret—traditionally connected with the circumstances of Karṇa’s birth—seeking understanding and consolation.
