The verse highlights the dharma of honoring guests and elders: a righteous leader like Yudhiṣṭhira offers proper pūjā and appropriate seating, showing that ethical order is maintained through respectful conduct and ritual propriety.
After being respectfully received by Yudhiṣṭhira, the assembled persons accept the honor and take their seats on sacred, excellent sitting-places described as peacock-feathered, indicating a formally arranged and dignified gathering.
