Arjuna and Yudhiṣṭhira instruct Vidura on honoring Dhṛtarāṣṭra

Educational Q&A

Even a ruler burdened by past outcomes can turn toward dharma through tapas and self-restraint; ethical renewal is strengthened when one leads others into disciplined living rather than seeking comfort or privilege.

Vaiśampāyana reports that Dhṛtarāṣṭra, now living in the forest, undertakes austerities and also directs his accompanying attendants to adopt the same ascetic regimen.
