Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Public Request for Consent to Enter the Forest (अनुज्ञा-प्रार्थना)
कारयित्वान्नपानानि यानान्याच्छादनानि च । सुवर्णमणिरत्नानि दासीदासमजाविकम्
kārayitvānnapānāni yānānyācchādanāni ca | suvarṇamaṇiratnāni dāsīdāsamajāvikaṁ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem sie Vorräte an Speise und Trank bereitgestellt hatten, dazu Fahrzeuge und Decken, und ebenso Gold, Edelsteine und kostbare Juwelen—zusammen mit Dienerinnen und Dienern sowie Herden von Ziegen und Schafen—häuften sie dies als Gaben und notwendige Mittel gemäß der Pflicht an.
