नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
वर्धमानं तु त॑ दृष्टवा प्रार्थथामास तारक: । उपायैर्बहुभि्न्तुं नाशकच्चापि तं विभुम्
vardhamānaṃ tu taṃ dṛṣṭvā prārthayāmāsa tārakaḥ | upāyair bahubhir hantuṃ nāśakac cāpi taṃ vibhum ||
Bhishma sprach: „Als Tāraka sah, wie jener Mächtige stetig an Kraft gewann, forderte er ihn zum Kampf heraus. Doch selbst mit vielen Listen vermochte er nicht, diesen ruhmreichen, kraftvollen Jüngling zu töten.“
भीष्म उवाच
Power driven by pride and hostility may use many tactics, yet it fails when opposed to a force aligned with divine ordinance and rightful purpose; the verse highlights the limits of mere strategy against dharmically supported strength.
Tāraka sees the young, mighty figure (Kumāra) increasing in power and challenges him to battle, but despite trying numerous methods, he cannot kill or overcome him.
