नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
अग्निने गुणवान् बकरा, इलाने बहुतसे फल-फूल, सुधन्वाने छकड़ा और विशाल कूबरसे युक्त रथ दिये ।। वरुणो वारुणान् दिव्यान् सगजान् प्रददौ शुभान् । सिंहान् सुरेन्द्रो व्याप्रांश्न द्विपानन्यांश्व॒ पक्षिण:
varuṇo vāruṇān divyān sagajān pradadau śubhān | siṃhān surendro vyāghrāṃś ca dvipān anyāṃś ca pakṣiṇaḥ ||
Bhishma sprach: „Agni schenkte einen vortrefflichen Ziegenbock; Ilā gab viele Früchte und Blumen; Sudhanvan gab einen Wagen und einen Streitwagen mit großem Kasten. Varuṇa verlieh prächtige, göttliche Gaben, die ihm eigen waren: ausgezeichnete Elefanten und andere glückverheißende Besitztümer. Indra, der Herr der Götter, gewährte ebenso mächtige Geschöpfe: Löwen und Tiger, dazu Elefanten und mancherlei Vögel.“
