Chapter 85: Suvarṇasya Janma ca Pradāna-Phalam

मयाभिपन्ना: सिध्यन्ते ऋषयो देवतास्तथा । यान्‌ नाविशाम्यहं गावस्ते विनश्यन्ति सर्वश:,देवताओं तथा ऋषियोंको मुझसे अनुगृहीत होनेपर ही सिद्धि मिलती है। गौओ! जिनके शरीरमें मैं प्रवेश नहीं करती, वे सर्वथा नष्ट हो जाते हैं

mayābhipannāḥ sidhyante ṛṣayo devatās tathā | yān nāviśāmy ahaṃ gāvas te vinaśyanti sarvaśaḥ ||

Bhishma sprach: „Selbst die Rishis und die Götter gelangen nur dann zur Vollendung, wenn sie von mir getragen werden. O Kühe, jene, in deren Körper ich nicht eingehe, gehen gänzlich zugrunde.“
