Varṇasaṃkara: Causes, Classifications, and Conduct-based Recognition (वर्णसंकरः—हेतु-जाति-आचारनिर्णयः)
असूयवस्त्वधर्मिष्ठा: परस्वादायिन: शठा: । आसुरादधिसम्भूता धर्माद् विषमवृत्तय:
asūyavas tv adharmiṣṭhāḥ parasvādāyinaḥ śaṭhāḥ | āsurād adhisambhūtā dharmād viṣamavṛttayaḥ ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „Diejenigen, die aus einer āsura-Ehe hervorgehen, neigen dazu, Fehler bei anderen zu suchen, sind zutiefst adharma, eignen sich fremden Besitz an, sind trügerisch und zu einem Verhalten geneigt, das dem dharma zuwiderläuft.“
