Chapter 34
तपस्विनश्न ये नित्यं कौमारब्रह्मचारिण: । तपसा भावितात्मानो दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति ते,जो तपस्वी, आबालब्रह्मचारी और तपस्यासे शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले हैं वे दुर्गमण संकटसे पार हो जाते हैं
tapasvinaś ca ye nityaṃ kaumāra-brahmacāriṇaḥ | tapasā bhāvitātmāno durgāṇy atitaranti te ||
Nārada sprach: Jene Asketen, die beständig im lebenslangen Brahmacarya leben, und deren Inneres durch Tapas (Askese) geläutert und gestärkt wurde, vermögen selbst die schwierigsten Passagen zu durchqueren—Gefahren und Krisen, die schwer zu überwinden sind.
नारद उवाच
Steady brahmacarya and sustained tapas refine the mind and character; this inner purification becomes the strength by which one overcomes severe dangers and difficult life-situations.
Nārada is instructing by praising the spiritual efficacy of ascetic discipline: true tapasvins—especially lifelong brahmacārins—develop an empowered, purified inner self that can carry them through crises that would overwhelm others.
