Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities

प्रकृष्टेरशुभै्ग्रस्ताननेकै: पुरुषाधमान्‌ । पततो नरके गज्ज संश्रितान्‌ प्रेत्य तारयेत्‌,जो नीच मानव अनेक बड़े-बड़े अमड्नलकारी पापकर्मोंसे ग्रस्त होकर नरकमें गिरनेवाले हैं, वे भी यदि गड़ाजीकी शरणमें आ जाते हैं तो ये मरनेके बाद उनका उद्धार कर देती हैं

prakṛṣṭer aśubhair grastān anekaiḥ puruṣādhamān | patato narake gadāṃ saṃśritān pretya tārayet ||

Selbst die verkommensten Menschen, von vielen schweren Sünden bedrängt und dem Sturz in die Hölle entgegengehend, werden, wenn sie bei der Gaṅgā Zuflucht nehmen, nach dem Tod von ihr gerettet.
