यान्यगम्यानि तीर्थाणि दुर्गाणि विषमाणि च | मनसा तानि गम्यानि सर्वतीर्थसमीक्षया,जो समस्त तीर्थोंके दर्शनकी इच्छा रखता हो, वह दुर्गण और विषम होनेके कारण जिन तीर्थोमें शरीरसे न जा सके, वहाँ मनसे यात्रा करे

yāny agamyāni tīrthāni durgāṇi viṣamāṇi ca | manasā tāni gamyāni sarvatīrthasamīkṣayā ||

Wenn jemand danach verlangt, alle tīrtha (heiligen Furten) zu schauen, dann sollen jene Pilgerstätten, die der Leib nicht erreichen kann—weil der Weg beschwerlich ist oder das Gelände rau und unwegsam—im Geist besucht werden, durch betrachtendes Durchgehen aller tīrtha. Die Lehre bekräftigt, dass aufrichtige Absicht und inneres Erinnern vollenden können, was dem Körper unmöglich ist, ohne das ethische Ziel der Pilgerschaft preiszugeben.
