Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
शस्त्रविक्रयिकाश्वैव कर्तारश्न युधिष्ठिर । शल्यानां धनुषां चैव ते वै निरयगामिन:,राजा युधिष्लिर! जो (ब्राह्मण) हथियार बेचते और धनुष-बाण आदि शणस्त्रोंको बनाते हैं, वे नरकगामी होते हैं
śastravikrayikāś caiva kartāraś ca yudhiṣṭhira | śalyānāṁ dhanuṣāṁ caiva te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „O Yudhiṣṭhira, wer mit Waffen Handel treibt und wer Waffen herstellt—wie Pfeile und Bögen—der ist wahrlich zur Hölle bestimmt.“
