रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti

एवमन्ये विकुर्वन्ति देवा: संसारमोचनम्‌ । मनुष्याणामृते देवं नान्या शक्तिस्तपोबलम्‌

evam anye vikurvanti devāḥ saṃsāramocanam | manuṣyāṇām ṛte devaṃ nānyā śaktis tapobalam ||

Vāyu sprach: „Auf eben diese Weise befreien auch die anderen Götter sich von der Fessel des weltlichen Daseins — indem sie den Herrn preisen. Für die Menschen gibt es, außer Zuflucht beim Göttlichen (Mahādeva) zu nehmen, keine andere Macht, keine aus Askese geborene Kraft, durch die Befreiung aus dem Saṃsāra erlangt werden könnte.“
