रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
वरो वराहो वरदो वरेण्य: सुमहास्वन: । महाप्रसादो दमन: शत्रुहा श्वेतपिज्रल:
vayudeva uvāca | varo varāho varado vareṇyaḥ sumahāsvanaḥ | mahāprasādo damanaḥ śatruhā śvetapiṅgalaḥ ||
Vāyu sprach: „Er ist der Vorzügliche; Varāha, die erhabene Eber-Inkarnation; der Spender von Gaben; und der Würdige, den man erwählen und dem man dienen soll. Sein Brüllen ist weit und gewaltig. Er erweist den Verehrern große Gnade, bezwingt die Bösen, vernichtet die Feinde und erscheint in einem hellen, weißlich-falben Glanz.“
