“यत: कृष्णस्ततो धर्मो” यतो धर्मस्ततो जय: । वासुदेवेन तीर्थेन पुत्र संशाम्य पाण्डवै:

Transliteration

yataḥ kṛṣṇas tato dharmo yato dharmas tato jayaḥ | vāsudevena tīrthena putra saṁśāmya pāṇḍavāḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma sprach: „Wo Kṛṣṇa steht, dort steht Dharma; und wo Dharma steht, dort ist der Sieg. Darum, o Sohn, nimm Zuflucht in der heiligen Gegenwart Vāsudevas und besänftige die Pāṇḍavas: Lass die Feindschaft erkalten und suche Versöhnung im Einklang mit der Rechtschaffenheit.“
