Anuśāsana-parva 17

महानासो महाकम्बुर्महाग्रीव: श्मशानभाक्‌ । महावक्षा महोरस्को हान्तरात्मा मृगालय:

mahānāso mahākambur mahāgrīvaḥ śmaśānabhāk | mahāvakṣā mahorasko hy antarātmā mṛgālayaḥ ||

Vāyu-deva sprach: „Er ist breitnasig, dickkehlig und von mächtigem Nacken; er spielt auf den Verbrennungsstätten. Er hat eine gewaltige Brust und einen kraftvollen, weit ausladenden Rumpf; er ist das innere Selbst aller Wesen und Zuflucht der Geschöpfe—der selbst die Jungen der Tiere zärtlich trägt.“
