ब्रह्मदण्डविनिर्माता शतघ्नीपाशशक्तिमान् | पद्मगर्भो महागर्भो ब्रह्मगर्भो जलोद्धव:
brahmadaṇḍavinirmātā śataghnīpāśaśaktimān | padmagarbho mahāgarbho brahmagarbho jalodbhavaḥ ||
Vāyu-deva sprach: „Er ist der Schöpfer des Brahma-daṇḍa (des Stabes heiliger Züchtigung), ausgestattet mit der Waffe śataghnī, mit Schlinge und Speer. Er ist Padma-garbha—von der Natur Brahmās; Mahā-garbha—der in sich den gewaltigen Schoß des Universums trägt; Brahma-garbha—der die Veda in sich bewahrt; und Jalodbhava—der aus den uranfänglichen Wassern hervortritt.“
