मन्थानो बहुलो वायु: सकल: सर्वलोचन: । तलस्ताल: करस्थाली ऊर्ध्वसंहननो महान्
manthāno bahulo vāyuḥ sakalaḥ sarvalocanaḥ | talastālaḥ karasthālī ūrdhvasaṃhanano mahān ||
Vāyu-deva sprach: „Er ist ein mächtiger, alles durchwühlender Wind — der große Wind der Zeit der Auflösung; vollendet in allen Kräften, allsehenden Blickes. Den Takt hält er, indem er in die eigene Handfläche schlägt, seine Hände dienen ihm als Essgefäß; sein Leib ist stark, der Bau aufgerichtet und dicht gefügt — und wahrhaft groß ist er.“
