गुरुभ्यस्त्वासनं देयमभिवाद्याभिपूज्य च । गुरुम भ्यर्च्य वर्धन्ते आयुषा यशसा श्रिया
gurubhyas tv āsanaṁ deyam abhivādya abhipūjya ca | gurūn abhyarcya vardhante āyuṣā yaśasā śriyā ||
Bhīṣma sprach: Nachdem man sich vor seinen Lehrern verneigt und sie mit gebührender Ehrfurcht geehrt hat, soll man ihnen einen Sitz anbieten. Durch verehrungsvolles Dienen am Guru wachsen Lebensdauer, guter Ruf und Wohlstand—so wird die respektvolle Aufnahme zu einer greifbaren Übung des Dharma.
