Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity uktavati vākye tu kṛṣṇe devakīnandane | bhīṣmaṃ śāntanavaṃ bhūyaḥ paryapṛcchad yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als Kṛṣṇa, Devakīs Wonne, diese Worte so gesprochen hatte, befragte Yudhiṣṭhira Bhīṣma, den Sohn Śantanus, abermals, um größere Klarheit über die Maßstäbe des Dharma und rechten Anstands zu gewinnen.
