ब्राह्मणप्रतिपूजायामायु: कीर्तिययशो बलम् । लोका लोकेश्चराश्वैव सर्वे ब्राह्मणपूजका:
brāhmaṇa-pratipūjāyām āyuḥ kīrtir yaśo balam | lokā lokeśvarāś caiva sarve brāhmaṇa-pūjakāḥ |
Vāyu sprach: „Wer die Brāhmaṇas ehrt und ihnen gebührend Verehrung erweist, erlangt langes Leben, Ruhm, guten Namen und Kraft. Ja, alle Welten, ja selbst die Herren der Welten, sind Verehrer der Brāhmaṇas.“
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches that honoring brāhmaṇas—symbols of sacred learning, discipline, and restraint—is a dharmic act that yields tangible fruits (longevity, fame, reputation, strength) and aligns one with the wider cosmic order, since even the rulers of the worlds are said to revere them.
