न ते5पराधमिह वै दृष्टवानस्मि सुव्रत । प्रीतो5स्मि तव गोविन्द वृणु कामान् यथेप्सितान्
na te 'parādham iha vai dṛṣṭavān asmi suvrata | prīto 'smi tava govinda vṛṇu kāmān yathepsitān ||
Vāyu-deva sprach: „O du, der du in edlen Gelübden standhaft bist, wahrlich, ich habe hier keinerlei Schuld an dir gesehen. Ich bin dir gewogen, Govinda. Darum erbitte dir die Wünsche, wie es dir beliebt.“
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights ethical discernment and self-mastery: when one has conquered anger and is found free of wrongdoing, the righteous response is approval and benevolence (here, the offering of a boon), not blame or retaliation.
Vāyu-deva addresses Govinda (Kṛṣṇa), declares that he has detected no offense on Kṛṣṇa’s part in the present situation, expresses satisfaction, and invites him to ask for any desired boon.
