त॑ ममानुग्रहकृते दातुमर्हस्यनिन्दित । अनुशासन्तु मां सनन््तो मिथ्योद्वृत्तं त्वदाश्रयम्
taṁ mamānugrahakṛte dātum arhasy anindita | anuśāsantu māṁ santaḥ mithyodvṛttaṁ tvadāśrayam ||
Bhishma sprach: „O Tadelloser, du sollst mir diesen Segen gewähren, um mir deine Gunst zu erweisen. Wenn ich jemals, unter deinem Schutz, in falsches und verkehrtes Verhalten abgleite, dann mögen die Tugendhaften mich belehren und zurechtweisen.“
